Poutine
A downloadable game for Windows
Poutine is the story of a young woman finding her first real job as told through the memory limbo of video games and service industry jobs many of us deal with right after graduating.
Developers Notes:
This was created using RPG Maker VX Ace (http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/products/programs/rpg-m...) over the period of 2 and a half days. I worked on this project on my own. Graphic and music assets were scrounged from the game environment itself and random places on the internet, but I designed the game play, wrote all of the dialogue, and scripted all of the events/programming logic that controls the flow of the game. There are three different sets of endings depending on how much of the game you complete. Average play-through takes just under 20 minutes. If you are a fan of this style of game, give it a go!
spoilers - I have a full play-through here if you get stuck -

This is a self-extracting ZIP file which will only run on PC/Windows. When you double-click on Poutine.exe, it will prompt you to pick a location on your computer to dump all of the files needed to run the game. Pick somewhere you can find again, then click on OK to extract. When the extraction is complete, browse to that directory you used to extract the files and look for the new sub-directory there called Poutine. Open that directory up, and double-click on the file called Game.exe to launch the game itself.
